Given Jerry Jeff's checkered past, I figured it could mean just about ANYTHING! The answer was surprisingly tame, and it was buried, as is so much, at wikipedia. Short version, in the golden age of diners, before computerized ordering systems, the waiter or waitress would call out orders to the cooks. And to stave off boredom and to make the orders memorable, they came up with their own slang. If you hear the waiter asking for "Noah's boy", well, that's Ham. And Whiskey toast? That's rye bread. There are two major possibilities for that name. One is, they make whiskey from rye. Also, rye bread tends to be browner than most breads, so it looks more like whiskey. Anyway, there it is.
